Silver-bordered Fritillary

The Silver-bordered Fritillary (Boloria selene) is a small brush-footed butterfly that ranges from Alaska east to Newfoundland and south to Oregon, New Mexico, Illinois, and North Carolina. It is also found in Europe, and Asia. Other names include the Silver Meadow Fritillary and the Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary.

The coloration of the Silver-bordered Fritillary is typically orange with dark brown markings.
