The Polydamas Swallowtail (Battus polydamas) is black above with a large submarginal yellow band. It has no tails as does the typical swallowtail.
It ranges through the peninsula of Florida and the Florida Keys, as well as South Texas into Argentina. Rarely found north of these areas.
