Northern Checkerspot

The Northern Checkerspot (Chlosne palla) is a medium-sized butterfly. It can be found in Southern British Columbia and Alberta, and also south to southern California, Utah and Colorado.

Its coloration is typically black and orange, with cream colored areas as well.

Wing spread: 1 3/8" - 1 7/8"

Host Plants: Goldenroad, asters and rabbitbush
