The Tropical Buckeye (Junonia evarete) is a large brown butterfly with dominant eyespots and trailing orange and creme-colored wing edges. It can be found in tropical environments including fields, lowlands, and sandy islands. The butterfly's range includes areas of the southwestern United States, south Texas, and south Florida. It is similar in looks to the Common Buckeye.
